Ngorongoro
Farm House faces the Oldeani Volcano, in Ololdukan
and is reminiscent of the atmosphere of old times. The
huge main building with a thatched roof contains the
reception, bar, dining area, library and lounge with
a fireplace where guests can enjoy a rest during the
cool evenings in the highlands. Guest areas are completed
by a swimming pool with superb views of Oldeani Volcano
and a craft shop. There is an organic vegetable and
flower garden that covers some acres. Guests enjoy excellent
home made cuisine prepared using the dairy and fresh
vegetables produced by the farm all year around
Accommodation and facilities
The accommodation consists of ten spacious
luxury bungalows, each decorated in an original colonial
style, complete with private baths. Additional facilities
include a swimming pool and two dining areas. The 500
acre working farm on the slopes of the crater features
a 6 acre organic vegetable garden which not only supplies
the lodge, but many other lodges and our mobile camp
operations throughout the northern Tanzania. Enjoy fresh
roasted coffee from the on site 15 acre coffee plantation.
The farm also has home grown pigs, free range chickens,
ducks, rabbit, lamb and milk cows. These fresh foods
are combined with the fish imported from the coast enabling
us to serve up abundant, fresh, organic cuisine. Walking
and overnight trekking foot safaris in the area of Lake
Eyasi and have plans to offer horseback riding are organized.

It's not just about food though! Negotiations
are underway with the Ngorongoro Conservation Area Authority
to open a walking route to the Oldeani Volcano (The
Bamboo Mountain) which is adjacent to the farm. From
there we can easily operate more walking and overnight
trekking foot safaris in the area of Lake Eyasi and
have plans to offer horseback riding
