Kensington Mara is a tented camp on the banks of the Talek River on the north boundary of the Mara Reserve, located 2km west of the Sekenani gate. Each Suswa tent is luxuriously spread down the riverbank in this pristine 80 acre preserve. Isolated and private, yet in the midst of a teeming corner of the legendary Mara park, guests will savor a close connection with nature. Arriving by air, you land at the Keekorok airstrip just a half hour game drive away from camp.
Defining a wilderness tented camp, this elegant and exquisitely furnished camp is nestled in a bend of the Talek river just north of the Mara reserve. Hippos grunting in the river, elephant and giraffe wandering by, this is luxurious wilderness. A veteran staff carefully look after the selected guests in this boutique camp. Sharing a connection with the local Masai, guests can hike with warriors, visit the local village, dance along with traditional songs, or hear the wisdom of generations from a local elder over the evening fire.
Accommodation
This exclusive camp is limited to only six tents.
Each tent is professionally furnished by Palacina, the design professionals behind such luxurious properties as The Palms, and Breezes in Zanzibar. The Masai theme is showcased with evocative metal headboards, lamps and fixtures. Handwoven jute rugs accent the warm honey toned bed covers. Hand carved accents showcase Masai art. Snuggle up at night under a feather duvet in a sea of soft pillows. Each tent features two (2) queen beds. Valet service is provided. Your shoes will be cleaned and polished in the evening and returned with your morning tea.

- Infants under 2 are not permitted in camps, children under 12 stay at the discretion of the camp manager and at the parent's own risk
- Children 2-12 receive a 50% discount, kids aged 13-17 receive a 25% discount.
- Each tent has 2 queen beds. A triple room that has a child under 18 is discounted, and two people must share one bed. A triple room with
three adults will have a cot added in the evening and removed in the morning.

- Rates do not include park fees ($50pp per day, $20 for children under 12) and crater access fees ($200 per vehicle entry)
